Krka National Park, located in central Croatia, is a stunning natural oasis known for its lush landscapes, cascading waterfalls, and diverse wildlife. - Klis Fortress, located near Split, Croatia, is a historic medieval stronghold perched on a rocky ridge. It played a crucial role in defending against Ottoman invasions and has been controlled by Illyrians, Romans, Croats, and Venetians. Known for its stunning panoramic views, it also gained fame as a filming location for Game of Thrones. Today, it is a popular tourist site showcasing Croatia’s rich history and military architecture.

The area around the River Krka has been declared a National Park because of its natural beauty and its geological characteristics (an area of karst rock). The river rises 43 km (as the crow flies) from Šibenik, beneath the best-known mountain in Croatia and Dalmatia, Dinara.

This mountain has given its name to the mountain range which stretches about 600 km encompassing the mountains of the Croatia coastal area and of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Krka is 73 km long in all, of wich the first part flows through plains (13 km) the second (40 km) through a canyon and the final stage forms lakes joined to the sea.

The Klis fortress was used in a 1972 historical film Eagle in a Cage, portraying Saint Helena. Klis is also being used as a location for filming the HBO series Game of Thrones.
Tips for Visitors:
- Wear comfortable shoes – The park has walking trails, some of which can be slippery near waterfalls.
- Bring swimwear – During warmer months, swimming is allowed in certain areas of the park, especially near Skradinski Buk.

Romantic Mediterranean town full of narrow paved streets, passages, vaults and stairs. The entire town core is a protected cultural monument. It still has many houses dating from the 18th and 19th century. From this place boat is departing upwards Krka river and view from the boat is amazing as you are reaching waterfalls.

Walking distance to the waterfalls, excellent opportunity to visit Krka national park if you dont have lot of time.

Beautiful medieval fortress, 30 minutes away from Split. She offers beautiful viewe on sea, Split and surrounding islands.
Itinerary
- 08:00 - Direct pick up from your hotel/apartment (flexible pick up time based on your request)
- 09:15 - Arrival at National Park Krka
- 09:30 - Upon arrival at Skradin enjoy the 3-4 hours of exploring Krka national park.You can also enter at Lozovac entrance and take boat ride to Skradin.
- 13:00 - Leave the Krka and we head towards Klis fortress.
- 14:15 - Drop off at Klis fortress (90 min).
- 17:00 - Arrival in Split – city center or your accommodation (possible to ride along the coast to have spectacular view on sea and islands)
VIP TICKETS
We have great option to offer you tickets for VIP entrance at Krka National park. Price for these tickets is the same as for regular tickets. Difference is that with those tickets for VIP entrance we can take you all the way to the bottom (and pick you up later also, on return) with vehicle. Otherwise you will have to go on foot for about 4 kilometers or with their local bus that goes every 30 minutes. When booking, please mention that you also want VIP tickets so that we can reserve them in time.
